I have drawn and painted for as long as I can remember. I was born in New York, moved to California at the age of seven, and lived there most of my life. I recently relocated to Catskill, New York, where I work as an artist.
I have studied drawing and painting at Santa Barbara City College, the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art, and Brentwood Art Center.
My work has been used to promote the Brentwood Art Center, and while I have not received any professional awards for my work, I received first prize for a watercolor of a bicycle I painted in high school which was entered into the school's art contest, unbeknownst to me by my art teacher.
I have a BA in History from Berkeley. My love of the arts led me to work at Butterfield & Butterfield, Auctioneers & Appraisers and The Friends of Photography Ansel Adams Center, both in San Francisco, and most recently fourteen years at the J. Paul Getty Trust in Los Angeles.
People who love my drawings and paintings appreciate that I work in a variety of media, including graphite, watercolor, soft pastel, and pen and ink, and that I can render many subjects from life, including people, animals, things, and landscapes.
